About Youth Anxiety
Children and adolescents with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) tend to worry about everyday life events with no obvious reasons for worry. The worry is often unrealistic or out of proportion for the situation. They may worry excessively about their performance and competence at school or in sporting events, about personal safety and the safety of family members, or about natural disasters and future events. These children are also frequently anxious and fearful. If left untreated, the anxiety can dominate their thinking so much that it interferes with daily functioning, including school, social activities, and relationships.
If your child is between the ages of 7-17, and you suspect he/she may be suffering from generalized anxiety disorder, please feel free to contact us for more information about this study.
